Prophet Muhammad (salla Allahu alayhi wasallam)- Part2

Abdullah's Marriage:
- When Abdullah turned 25, Abdul-Muttalib started to arrange for his marriage
- Abdullah was very very handsome, people could see a certain nur on his face that they couldn’t place
- Abdul-Muttalib selected an honorable woman named Aamenah.
- Abdul-Muttalib and Abdullah were walking hand in hand on the day of the marriage towards the marriage ceremony.
- On their way they passed by Abdullah’s cousin Kutailah (the sister of Waraqah, he was one of the main representatives of the Hunafa.. the people who worshiped only one God).
- The hunafa believed that a Prophet would come to revive their religion.
- Kutaliah was very knowledgeable about this and she was always on the lookout for this coming Prophet.
- When they pass by Kutailah, she looks at Abdullah and sees this light on his face. She stops her cousin, she calls his name. Abdul_muttalib tells him to go and talk to her.
- Abdullah turns around and she says “Marry me and I will give you 100 camels that were offered to save you”
- Abdullah says “I cannot disobey my father, he already arranged for my marriage”. Again, this was one of the Arab’s key characteristics. Obedience and respect to their elders.
- He turned away and walked with his father towards the marriage.
- So Abdullah goes on and marries Aamenah. One day he sees his cousin Kutailah again and this time she acts differently towards him, so he wonders why and asks her.
- She says “On that day you had a nur that you no longer have”. That nur had been transferred to the womb of Aamenah.
